SEPTEMBER 29, 2018

“Papyrus with Elephant Ears ~ Chanticleer” Oil on Linen has been awarded First Place for Oil/Acrylic Categories in the Plymouth Center for the Arts 51st Annual Exhibition.

“Accomplished handling of glaze.  Interesting composition – slightly asymmetrical.  Wonderful balance of tight and loose.  Good take on photo realism.  Smart placement of elephant ears to give eyes a “rest” for details of lush foliage.”

“A complex overgrown jungle of a reflecting pool, built with layer upon layer of glazing – a visual feast and delight. I could look at this one for a long, long time.”
